What is Cloudtouch technology?

This technology is what sets our yarns apart. We employ a special process that creates a unique yarn construction. Add this to our rigorous fiber selection, whether it be cotton, alpaca, or wool, and you get a yarn as soft as a cloud.

What is Airjet technology?

Our airjet technology makes our yarns lighter, easier to knit, and helps you knit faster. We inject air inside the fibers, making our yarns have more volume. In that way, 3.5oz/100 grams of our yarns can make bigger projects than any other normal yarns in less time.

Where is Sierra Yarns located?

We are a Peruvian-American company. Our production and headquarters are in Peru. But we have a warehouse in Missouri where we ship to all of the U.S.

Where do Sierra Yarns ship from?

Recognizing the need for efficiency in the U.S., we have established a warehouse in Missouri. This strategic location enables us to ship quickly and efficiently to customers across the entire United States.

Where is the yarn produced?

All of our yarns are produced in Peru.

I'm allergic to alpaca. Can I still use your yarn products?

Alpaca fiber is hypoallergenic. Contrary to a common misconception that it may be itchy or trigger allergies, the truth is that, due to its hypoallergenic nature, any discomfort is usually the result of poorly selected, lower-quality fibers. We only produce top-quality alpaca yarns.

Are alpacas harmed during the shearing?

Unlike Mohair or cashmere, alpacas are not harmed during shearing. Their fleece is carefully and safely removed to ensure their comfort and well-being. The shearing happens only once a year.
